The Month of June: It’s All About Data Breach

As many of our readers may have noticed, the informal theme for our blog for the month of June has been data breaches. From the launch of Breachcenter.com to the very unguarded disclosure from the Heartland CEO who was “devastated” about the company’s massive breach, there certainly has been plenty of news to cover. We also were fortunate enough to spend some time with John L. Nicholson, attorney, Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, who discussed data breaches compliance law with us.

Well, we wanted to wrap up the month with a post that pays homage to our friends at the Data Breach blog from SC Magazine. Throughout the month they have chronicled all of the data breaches that happened in June: seven significant breaches. Wow. As we always say, “it’s not a matter of if a data breach will happen, it’s a matter of when.” We hope you all keep this in mind as you peruse the SC Magazine Data Breach blog to learn about all the breaches that happened in June alone.
