PODCAST: Financial Services Companies Aim To Protect Elderly from Fraud

BITSlogoFinancial services employees are often the first to spot identity theft and fraud. BITS, a division of The Financial Services Roundtable, recently BITS published “Protecting the Elderly and Vulnerable from Financial Fraud and Exploitation,” a toolkit to give employees guidance on how to identify and respond to fraud and abuse.  In recognition of Older Americans Month, ITAC is hosting an exclusive podcast with Heather Wyson Director, BITS, and Dianne Shovely of Comerica who helped support the development of the BITS paper.

In addition, ITAC just issued a press release offering advice for families and caregivers on detecting the signs of fraud and identity theft against older or vulnerable adults. as well as was featured in today’s Washington Post.
