Keep the Spirit of Cyber Security Month

As Cyber Security Awareness Month comes to a close, I encourage all of us involved in protecting consumers to sustain that same level of passion and commitment throughout the calendar year. Of particular concern is the scourge of phishing attacks, which persist despite multi-channel efforts to warn consumers of the dangers of transmitting personal and financial data online. We extend our support to the Anti-Phishing Working Group and remain optimistic we can gain ground – in terms of consumer education and technological solutions – by Cyber Security Awareness Month in October 2010.
