BITS and ITAC Welcome and Congratulate New Cyber Security Czar

BITS, the technology policy division of The Financial Services Roundtable, ITAC, the Identity Theft Assistance Center, congratulate Howard Schmidt on his appointment as the cyber security advisor to President Obama. As industry leaders focused on fighting financial fraud, preventing identity theft, and strengthening cyber security for customers of large financial services companies, we look forward to working with Howard and his colleagues in the Obama Administration. We appreciated Howard’s collaborative approach in developing the National Strategy to Secure Cyberspace in 2002 and look forward to building on this relationship as we continue to focus on cyber security risks and strengthening our nation’s critical infrastructure.
