And We Have a Winner of Favorite Case of Identity Theft in History or Literature Contest!

utherThank you to all who participated in the “most interesting case of identity theft in literature and history contest!  Of the many great submissions we received, we have finally nailed down the winner!  And, the winner is Cheryl Baumgartner who came up with Uther Pendragon, the father of King Arthur.

You all may recall that, with the help of Merlin, Uther Pendragon took on the likeness of of his enemy Gorlios in order to sleep with Gorlios’ wife, the Lady Igrain. The result of this was the birth of King Arthur himself. So, you could say that King Arthur was actually a product of identity theft.

Great submission, Cheryl! By coming up with this most creative submission, Cheryl will receive a free one-year subscription to ITAC Sentinel Plus. ITAC Sentinel Plus delivers 3-in-1 credit bureau monitoring and alerts, daily internet surveillance, and ITAC’s outstanding identity theft recovery.

Other great submissions we received were Jacob’s impersonation of his brother Esau to obtain the birthright from their father Isaac in the Bible, Frank Abagnale, the actress Jane Seymour who took on the stage name of Henry the Eighth’s third wife and many more.  Big thank you to all who participated in the contest!
